REDESIGN FOR GREECE’S BIGGEST PRIVATE TV CHANNEL MEGA
In 2010, aVOIR became part of a very extensive and emotional on-air redesign for mega, the biggest private TV channel in Greece. Assigned by velvet mediendesign, we were responsible for the compositing. Over one hundred HD shots with 2D-integration, tracking, masking, retouch and color adaptation had to be finalized. Beside the compositing we consulted and prepared the VFX for the ident shooting and created some beautiful, hand drawn 2D animations. Truly in the spirit of the Lomography, but also for technical reasons, the very colour rich, lomographic style was generated in-camera (Canon 5D). So we also had to rework the different predefined looks during the compositing for all the 2D animations to guarantee a seamless and convincing implementation into the live action material. In the end all the work paid off. The 2010 redesign for mega was awarded – not only once:
